Get a class-action refund on diamond purchases
Janet sent me this link about a DeBeers class-action claim. Basically you might be entitled to a refund if you purchased a diamond or diamond-containing jewelry between Jan 1, 1994 and Mar 31, 2006.

Here is the claim site:

The form was very easy to fill out online. I just entered my name, address, and the purchase price of Janet's engagement ring. At the moment it only requests you send in a copy of a receipt if the value is over $10,000 (*cough*), but they do say you might need proof of purchase later.
Depending on the number of people who make claims, it might be worth a couple hundred dollars in refund, so I thought it was worth a shot (especially if you know where your receipt is hiding).
