Janet sent me this link about a DeBeers class-action claim.  Basically you might be entitled to a refund if you purchased a diamond or diamond-containing jewelry between Jan 1, 1994 and Mar 31, 2006.

Here is the claim site:
https://diamondsclassaction.com/

The form was very easy to fill out online.  I just entered my name, address, and the purchase price of Janet's engagement ring.  At the moment it only requests you send in a copy of a receipt if the value is over $10,000 (*cough*), but they do say you might need proof of purchase later.

Depending on the number of people who make claims, it might be worth a couple hundred dollars in refund, so I thought it was worth a shot (especially if you know where your receipt is hiding).

You know, I saw this somewhere and was wondering if it's legit. We bought our wedding rings within that time period, and I think my engagemtn ring too. Do you have to have the receipts?

*snort* I mis-read your comment as you asking Dan if he has the receipt for your engagement and wedding rings. And I'm thinking to myself "If he does, there will be hell to pay..." And then I re-read it, and go "DUH!!!!!!"

:-p
